Service Delivery Consultants / Field Engineers

I am currently working with an industry leading, cutting edge company who are looking for Service Delivery Consultants / Field Engineers to join their growing organisation.

The Role;

To deploy the client product suite into their customer base.
To provide pre-implementation, installation and post-installation consultancy.
To provide users with the skills required to operate and obtain best use from the RMS product suite.

The Enterprise Management suite of products is part of a greater Service Management Suite providing capacity, performance and network management services across the network and enterprise wide. They interface directly into the service centre incident management applications.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Install and provide consultancy on the client product suite
a. Carry out customer training on the client Software and other used third party products
b. Carry out training on the client Software for internal staff as required.
c. Create course notes and appropriate presentation material for the client Software training courses
- To achieve and maintain a good level of ITIL competence
- Provide support cover on the client Service Desk as required.
- This role involves travel throughout the UK to client sites to provide training, which may involve some overnight stays.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to the relevant health and safety procedures.
- Carry out all other duties as designated by your line manager.

Key Attributes and Skills
1. Technical: It is likely that the candidate will have a background in 3rd line support role in an ICT / IT operation with extensive experience in data centres or large distributed networks. Their current or previous roles would have been in Server and Network capacity and performance management, infrastructure design and implementation.
a. Web server skills
b. General Network IP Skills (IP stack etc.)
c. Network performance management applications (BMC Patrol, HP Openview etc.)
d. SNMP, WMI and Basic OS commands (Unix)
e. Network communication protocols
f. Email Protocols POP, SMTP etc.
g. SQL Server, DBA
h. Knowledge of network devices, network construction and performance.
2. Good Knowledge of Service Management / Service Desk processes
3. Good Customer Service Skills.
4. Good presentation and communications skills.

General
This role involves travel throughout the UK to client sites to provide training, which may involve some overnight stays.
The candidate must be prepared to pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role, in particular training in the client Product Suit.

This role is based in Bristol and is paying up to £37,000.
