Electronics Design Engineer - PhD or MSc Graduate Level, Oxford - £21,000 to £29,000 P/A
An excellent opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer to join a specialist Electronics Design organisation based in Oxfordshire. This opening is ideal for an Entry Level Electronics Engineer who has gained a PhD or high MSc in a relevant Electronics Engineering discipline.
The client, based in Oxfordshire, is a small specialised business that manufactures Electronic instruments for the automotive industry; the products designed and developed use state-of-the-art precision accelerometers and sensors.
Electronics Design Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Product Design - You will be involved in all aspects of product design from feasibility to production and investigating field failures. You will ensure that products comply with Electronic product legislation
* Circuit Design and PCB Layout - You will design Electronic circuits both analogue and digital. This will include sourcing and elevation new components. You will design the overall circuit, layout PCB's, get PCB's manufactured, test and prototype PCB's, and look after the PCB through life-cycle
* Embedded Software - You will be required to write code for device drivers in Embedded C and Assembler, and understand software tools for Microprocessor
* Documentation - You will write suitable documentation for parts that are designed for future reference and to aid in de-bugging parts
Skills Required:
* A good degree, 2.1 or better in a relevant Electronic or Electrical Engineering discipline is Essential
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work and produce results to the highest level
* Microprocessor circuits
* Embedded Software - Embedded C, Assembler, C++
* Filter Design
* Motor Control
* Temperature Control or other Control Systems
* Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink
