ROLE – Automation Engineer
LOCATION – Oxfordshire
TERM – Permanent
SALARY - £40k – £50k
 
An Oxfordshire based manufacturing company are recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join their Production, Manufacturing & Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis.
 
The Automation Engineer will ideally have the following skills/experience:
 
  • Working with robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC control systems
  • Able to work to, read and interpret electrical CAD drawings
  • Have experience working on manufacturing engineering projects, from concept to completion
  • Familiar with ABB robots
  • Creating electrical drawings using CAD would be a distinct advantage
  • Experienced in updating and modifying PLC & automation software
  • Understanding of fully and semi-automated manufacturing processes
 
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for:
 
  • Installing, commissioning and testing of automated manufacturing machinery
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and reactive maintenance repairs on automated manufacturing machinery
  • Carrying out equipment upgrade and software modifications
  • Managing manufacturing engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Working with and programming ABB robots
  • Assembling and building pneumatic and hydraulic systems
