ROLE- CAD Designer / Draughtsman

LOCATION- South Hampshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CAD Designer / Draughtsman, on a permanent basis, in the Hampshire area.

The CAD Designer / Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes:
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication knowledge/ experience
  • Be proficient with using 2D/ 3D CAD software
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
  • The ability to work well alone or as part of a team
The CAD Designer / Draughtsman role will involve:
  • Creating component & arrangement drawings for manufacture
  • Updating 3D models and drawings
  • Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOM’s
  • Checking drawings for sign off
  • Working as part of the engineering team
