ROLE- CFD Combustion Engineer

LOCATION- Hampshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- Negotiable dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My client works within the Energy and Oil & Gas sector, and they are looking to take on an experienced CFD Analysis Engineer with experience in Combustion, on a permanent basis, in the Hampshire area.

The CFD Combustion Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • BSc / BEng / Masters or PhD qualified ideally in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar
  • 5 or more years of experience ideally in a similar CFD role within the industry – combustion, energy, thermal power, emissions
  • Excellent proficiency with using CFD software (ANSYS, Star CCM etc)
  • Flexible to travel frequently as part of the role up to 50% of the time
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills such as with using Microsoft
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work well alone or as part of a team
The CFD Combustion Engineer role will involve:
  • Working within the existing CFD team
  • Being involved in a variety of varying sized engineering projects
  • Using ANSYS software on a daily basis
  • Working on system development using CFD software
  • Working primarily on combustion projects evaluating system performance
  • Implementing improvements on equipment
  • Being involved in preparing proposals and presentations
  • Reviewing new contracts with customers as required
