ROLE- Graduate Mechanical Development Engineer
LOCATION- Gloucester, Gloucestershire
TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £18,000- £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client designs and manufactures a variety of mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Development Engineer, on a permanent basis, in Gloucester.

This would be an excellent first job for an Engineer looking to develop their skills and start a career.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Engineering background (Degree, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship)
  • Experience with 3D CAD
  • Experience of working with a range of manufacturing processes
  • Any experience of working during your course with a variety of materials and processes including injection moulding, sheet metal and casting
  • Able to work well individually as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
  • Contributing to the design of new and existing products
  • Using 3D CAD on a daily basis
  • Being involved in different manufacturing processes and with a range of materials
  • Taking designs right through from concept to production being involved with prototyping too
  • Working on the development and improvements of existing products
  • Working within the existing design team as the company continues to grow
