Role- Production Engineer  

Salary- £26,000- £30,000 per annum but dependant on experience (please advise what you would be looking for)

Type- Permanent

Location- East Sussex

My client design and manufacture a variety of electro-mechanical consumer products and they are looking to take on a Production Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.

The Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree / HNC/ HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Production Engineering or similar
  • 1 or more year’s industrial experience with suitable skills to transfer
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques / Just in Time
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Production fixture design experience
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office software
  • Have a full UK driving licence
The Production Engineer role will involve:
  • Ensuring that the manufacturing equipment and also production processes run efficiently
  • Offering input to the design of products if required
  • Designing and building production lines for new products
  • Maintaining test equipment in line with company standards
  • Carrying out quality improvement investigations
  • Being involved in new product introduction
  • Having responsibility for product quality
  • Maintaining ERP System information as required
  • Designing production jigs & fixtures
